Math Projects

Foundations of Math 11 and 12 students presented their Major Research Projects in the Learning Commons last week to approximately 15 staff and guest judges.  There was a variety of interesting and original studies presented, including an inquiry into the correlation between attendance and GPA, a study on whether orange juice consumption can improve short-term recall, a comparison between the mass of breakfast eaten when blindfolded as opposed to without, and an experiment to determine which shaft material results in the fastest lacrosse shot.  Judges were all impressed at the quality of the research topics and how well the students presented their results.  Nice work students!
