GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS                                                                                

Bus passes
Bus passes are here!!  The BC Transit Youth Bus Passes AND many school bus passes are in the office.  Please come by to pick them up.  If you are an International Student, please pick up your  BC Transit bus pass from Brenda in her office:  Room 333

Head Shaving fundraiser
Tour de Rock will be at our school on Oct. 3rd and we are hoping to be able to make a large donation to Cancer research, but we need everyone's help!  Devon Wicks, Camille Irvine, Jai Pereira, Cam Olive, Carmon Salomomson, Mr. Ohl and Mr. Lowe are among the staff and students who are attempting to raise money by shaving their heads. Please consider making a donation to one or more of them this week.

Math Club
The Math Club meets in Room 133 at lunch TODAY.

Blood Clinic
Attention students 17 yrs of age.  There is an urgent need for blood. Please sign up to donate blood today.  You can save a life today.  See Mr. Spoor for more details.  A reminder to Emily Mann and Kayla Cabalin that they are operating the Blood Donor Sign Up table today

ChatterHigh Competition Starts Today!
It's that time of year again Spartans! A new ChatterHigh competition has begun, so let's be sure to win it this time!  Go to www.chatterhigh.com daily and help the school earn money, plus you could win awesome prizes or better yet, donate your points to Free the Children!  See Mrs. Pryer in the Career Centre at lunch for more details!

STUDENT GOVERNMENT                                                                                                

Student Government President elections.
On Wednesday, we will be having our Student Government President elections. Campaigning runs today and tomorrow. Please support the positivity of this campaign by not vandalizing or removing any posters or other campaign materials. It is also essential that balloons do NOT get popped within the school, as we have students who can be traumatized by the sudden noises.  
This year's candidates are Finn Page, Prasant Prasath, Nav Sandhu, Lois Tso, and Parris Williams. Good luck to all.

Work Experience Students
Attention Work Experience students: There is a brief, but important meeting for many work experience students on TUESDAY Sept. 24th at 10:30 a.m. in the Learning Commons.  Please check the list posted in the main foyer to see if you should attend.

Trades Exploration Program
Any students in Grade 10 - 12 who are interested in learning more about the trades, there are 4 seats left in the Trades Exploration Program offered here during the second semester.  Students must register before September 30th.  See Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre for more information and an application form.

The Sr. Boys Volleyball team host Mt. Doug and Esquimalt this WEDNESDAY in the big gym.  Come out and support your Spartans.  The action starts at 5:45pm.
