GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Halloween Week
Hey everyone!  The student government has planned a festive Halloween Week for everyone.  Check out the posters around the school and come participate in the fun events.   TODAY, there will be a Pie Eating contest at lunch in the student lounge.  Just show up!  Happy Halloween!!

On TUESDAY, there will be a Mummy Wrap Contest  in the student lounge
WEDNESDAY will be Blackout Wednesday - everyone wear BLAC!!
On THURSDAY there will be a Costume Contest at lunch in the big gym

Math Club Meeting
Students who are in Math Club are reminded that there is a meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 133.

Take Our Kids to Work Day
Attention Grade 9 students....Wednesday, November 6th is Take Our Kids to Work day and consent forms have been handed out in your block 2 classes.  If you are in a split class or did not receive a consent form and are interested in participating in this activity, please pick one up in the Career Centre from Mrs. Pryer.  The deadline for consent forms to be returned is this WEDNESDAY October 30th.

UNICEF boxes
Do you want to help children all over the world? Of course you do! Please donate any spare change from now until Halloween into the UNICEF boxes found in all your teachers' classrooms. Every little bit can add up to a lot!

Blood Drive
The current blood drive is now concluded. Thank you to all the students who donated blood. You have improved the lives of many people with your generosity.  Thank you, also, to Ms McAvoy, Ms Galvao, Mr Hayes, Ms Brailey, Ms Paas, Ms Shuck, and Ms Hansen for their help.
Sign Up for the next blood drive, which will be held here at school, will be in January

School photos and ID cards
If you had photos taken in SEPTEMBER but you have not received your photos or ID cards yet, please come to the office to pick them up.

Senior Girls Volleyball Tournament Results
Congratulations to the senior girls volleyball team who finished in fourth place at a very tough tournament over the weekend in Campbell River.  The girls compete this Saturday at Stelly's in the Lower Island Championships.  Come out and support your Claremont team.
