Congratulations to the Claremont Swim Team for an amazing performance at the BC Provincial Championships. The team placed 6th overall, with over 86 schools competing in the Meet this year. Outstanding performances were turned in by all team members. Highlights included 2 Golds for the Open Girls Relay Team at the 4 x 400 and 4 x 200m freestyle events (Sarah Darcel, Sarah Mabee-Hall, Kate Smith and Danica Ludlow) 1 sliver medal in the Girls 4 x 200 Meadly Relay & an individual Bronze to Sarah Darcel in the 200m Meadly (she swims all 4 strokes in one race!). The Boys Relay Team finished in 4th in the 4 x 400 Freestyle event (Peter Inches, Finn Page, Andreas Sinats and Jacob Beyak), Danica Ludlow finished 4th in the 100m Breast Stroke. The Girls Relay team broke the provincial record for the 4 x 200m Freestyle event. a A well deserved rest the next morning, followed by training again at 5:30 Monday morning.
