Claremont's Institute for Global Solutions hosted the 'Off The Grid' Youth Summit Festival sponsored by YesBC. 260 students from 18 schools in the CRD registered for the annual event held on Thursday April 17th. Students were empowered to take action on environmental and sustainability issues. Notable attendees were politicians Elizabeth May, Andrew Weaver, Dean Murdoch, and former student and actor Calum Worthy. The event concluded with a concert by the Mimdil Beach Markets and Carmanah powered by students on bicycles. It was an exciting day here at Claremont!
