GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Change in Bell Schedule
This is an important notice for all students.  As you know, the BC Teachers recently began Phase One strike action. At Claremont, this means that on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays: lunch will be shortened by 15 minutes and school will end 15 minutes earlier.  Busses will arrive 15 minutes earlier on those days. The earlier busses will start on WEDNESDAY April 30th and the shortened lunch breaks will start on THURSDAY May 1st.  A copy of the new bell schedule is posted outside of the office and on the Claremont website.

Scholarship Meeting
There will be a Scholarship meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 300

Blood Drive
There are still a few spots available for the May Blood Drive.  Sign up at lunch in student lounge or with Ms Chapman in rm 136.  If you have already signed up, please return your consent forms ASAP.

TC 10k Team
If you are on Claremont's TC 10K team, make sure you pick up your race package from Mr. Nelson before the end of TODAY.  On that note, good luck to all of the staff and students who are racing this weekend!

Peer Tutors
We are looking to add more Peer Tutors to our list because we are getting more requests than available tutors. If you are able to help, please see Ms. Giese asap and attend the lunch meeting TODAY in computer lab 225.  Can all Peer Tutors please also attend.

Food Drive
The Food Drive competition starts on MONDAY!  Fill up your grocery carts this weekend and start the week off right. Non-perishable items only for the Mustard Seed, which helps hundreds of families in Victoria. Let's go Spartans.

ATHLETICS
Intramural Speedball
Intramural Speedball will be starting next week. There will be junior and senior divisions. The sign up sheet is posted on the big gym doors. Sign your team up ASAP to ensure a spot.

CAREER CENTRE
Private Colleges Career Options Fair
The Vancouver Island Private Accredited Colleges (VIPAC) group will be in the Learning Commons TODAY at lunch!  Anyone interested in learing more about careers in massage thereapy, hair dressing, business management, digital media, fashion design, photography and many more, should not miss this event, so be sure to stop by and browse the tables!

Graduation
Grads:  This is a reminder that all of your forms and payment for your graduation events are due TODAY.  Please hand them in to Ms. Marshall in the accounting office.
