Attention all Science 10, FPC Math 10 and AW Math 10 students.
Sorry for all of the confusion around exams, especially Science 10, FPC Math 10 and AW Math 10. The details you need to know for science and math will be outlined below, as you have some choices.
Because we offer both paper and Electronic (E-exams) exams in FPC Math 10 and AW Math 10, students can choose which they prefer. As well, because we have so many students our Science 10 E-exams need to be done in two different sittings (with a third option for conflicts) so that we can accommodate everyone in our computer labs. That being said, here is how it goes for science 10...
Ms. Paas's and Ms. McAvoy's classes do their Science 10 E-exam in the computer labs on Wed. Jun 18th at 9:00 am (you should arrive about 8:40 am to school). If a student in these classes also chooses to do their FPC or AW Math 10 exam as a paper exam on Wed. June 18th at 9:00 am they can do their Science 10 E-exam on Monday, June 23rd at 9:00 am in the computer lab - this time is being reserved for any students that have a Math/Science exam conflict on Wednesday, June 18th. However, If the Math student is choosing to do an E-exam on Friday June 20th then there is no conflict with the Science on Wednesday, June 18th so both can be done.
Ms. Linger, Mr. Hayes and Mr. Vucko's students do their Science 10 E-exam on Monday, June 23rd at 1:00 pm (students should arrive about 12:40 pm). This exam session is not in conflict with any of the Math 10 exam times.
With respect to FPC Math 10 and AW Math 10 students have two options.
1. Write a paper based FPC Math 10 or AW Math 10 exam on Wednesday June 18th at 9:00 am (arrive at school at approx. 8:40 am). Again, if this conflicts with the Science 10 E-exam scheduled by the Ministry at the same time, those students (from Ms. Paas's and Ms. McAvoys classes) can write their Science 10 exam on Monday, June 23rd at 9:00 am (arrive at school at approx. 8:40 am).
Or
2. Complete an FPC Math 10 or AW MAth 10 Electronic (E-exam) Exam on Friday, June 20th. In this case Ms. Pang's Bl. 3 and 4 classes and Mr. de Leeuw's AW Math class will complete their E-exams starting at 9:00 am (arrive at school at approx. 8:40 am) and Ms, Fleischman, Mr. Nelson and Ms. McAvoy's classes will complete their E-exams starting at 1:00 pm ( arrive at school at approx. 12:40 pm).
