Claremont Cross Country

A huge congratulations to the Boys Cross Country Team for finishing 2nd in the province at the Provincial Championships!!!  24 teams and 235 individuals ran in the senior boys race with our team, like at islands, finishing only 2nd to the defending provincial champions from Dover Bay.  Representing Claremont were Hamish Babin (24th overall), Roberto Fedrigo, Phil Vellacott, Brennen Smith, Angus Brown, Jordan Hopkins, and Sam Ogden.  We had a great team score and the boys gave it everything they had.  Way to go boys!

As for the girls team, they entered short handed due to an injury to one of the runners leaving them with 4 girls in the senior category, 1 short of qualifying a team.  This meant the girls were running as individuals and they all did a great job with Ashley Cathro once again leading the way finishing 39th overall in a field of 225 of the province's fastest runners.  Also representing Claremont were Sarah Hall, Elysse Pereira, and May Wang.  Congratulations to all the runners!
