GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Basketball Spirit Game
Thank you to all those students and staff that attended last night's basketball games. Congratulations to the senior girls team who handily defeated the visitors from Reynolds. The senior boys came up short against SMU but showed lots of hustle and toughness in the loss. A huge thank you to the student-leaders from the Athletic Leadership class for organizing the event.  GO SPARTANS!

A girl's ring has been found in the school.  Please come to the office to claim it.

Clothing Drive
IGS students are doing a clothing drive this THURSDAY and FRIDAY.  Please bring some of your old clothes that are in good shape that you don't need anymore. There will be a bin in the student lounge at lunch, and also a bin in the IGS room throughout the day. All clothes will go the CoolAid society for those in need.  Please show your support and bring in your unwanted clothes for a good cause.

Cotton Candy
A unique, light candy. Enlightens your day with each bite. Cotton candy will sell for $3 TODAY during lunch at the student lounge.  All proceeds will go towards the local organization, Greater Victoria Animal Crusaders. Support feral, abandoned pets, get a better life.

S'Mores
Are you a fan of s'mores?  If so, come down to the "Have S'more” table between the gym and lounge and get your s'more cookies for only $1.50.  The cookies will be sold TODAY and all proceeds will go to benefit the Mustard Seed Foundation.

Ice Cream Floats
Ice cream floats will be going for sale for only $3.50 TODAY at lunch in the student lounge. All proceeds will be going to Help Fill a Dream Foundation in Victoria. And make sure to get our floats down your throats.

Bake Sale
Attention Claremont - bring in lots of money on THURSDAY, January 29th, because there is going to be another bake sale! All proceeds will go towards supporting a young boy named Antony's education in Vanautu. We are about half way to reaching our goal of $500. Thanks from the IGS crew for your continued support.

Mandarin 12 Challenge Test
If you are interested in taking the Mandarin 12 Challenge Test, please see Ms. Giese for an application form. The test is February 16th.

Drop-in Peer Tutoring
A reminder that there is drop-in Peer Tutoring for Math and Science on TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS in room 134. This is a good chance to study for exams!  If you would like an indiviual Peer Tutor, please fill out an application located in the counselling office with Ms. Giese.
