GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Breakfast Club
The Parents of Claremont PAC are introducing a Breakfast Club at Claremont. This will run on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS from 8:15am to 8:50 a.m. PAC will be providing students with bagels and spreads, juices, tea and hot chocolate and charging 25 cents for each item.
Hooping It Up
Attention all Basketball fans! On TUESDAY March 31, Best Buddies will be hosting a free-throw competition at lunch in the gym and you could win $500! For only a toonie, you get 60 seconds to shoot as many free throws as you can. The Top Female, Top Male, and Top Buddy winners at Claremont will each receive awesome prizes and be eligible to win one of three $500 National Grand Prizes. No matter what your skill level is, you will be supporting people with disabilities here at Claremont. It's fun! Show your school spirit, challenge your friends. Talk to anyone in Best Buddies or Mrs. Stetson for more details.
Peer Tutoring
We have drop-in Peer Tutoring for Math, Science and English on TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS at lunch in math room 134. Please check in at the start of lunch. If you would like an individual peer tutor at a different time, please fill out a request form on Ms. Giese's office window.
Spring Cafe
Warm up your vocals and tune your instruments, because the Claremont music department will be hosting the Spring Cafe on April 28th at 7:00 pm. If you would like to perform, please talk to Mr. Clausen in the band room.

ATHLETICS
Track & Field
There is an important Track & Field meeting on WEDNESDAY at the start of lunch in room 137 (Mr. Nelson's math class). Please attend if you are coming to our first meet this week. New members are welcome to join and we are looking for fast runners for relay teams!
Intramural Speedball
For all teams signed up for Intramural Speedball: there will be a Captains meeting TODAY (Tuesday) at lunch in the big gym. All teams must be represented at the meeting or the team will be dropped from the tournament. Games start on WEDNESDAY at lunch.
Rugby
The boys rugby program is selling Victoria Royals hockey tickets to help raise money for their trip next year. If you are interested in purchasing tickets to this Saturday's playoff game, please come see Mr. Ohl in the PE Office. You can sit with all of your friends in the Claremont section! Tickets are being sold at the discounted price of $15.

Apprenticeship Opportunity
The Fleet Maintenance Facility Cape Breton is now accepting applications for apprenticeship positions in the following trades: Marine & Weapons Electrician, Machinist, Millwright, Painter, Metal Fabrication, Sheet Metal, Welder, Rigger and other hull trades. Grad Transitions - Deadline is Friday!
This is a reminder to all Grads that your Grad Transition interview should be completed by this FRIDAY March 27th if you want to do it with the counsellor or teacher of your choice. All students that have not completed their GT interview by Friday, will have it booked for them on April 15th. Please see Mrs. Pryer in the Career Centre to set up an appointment.
