Today in class, students:
- read for USSR
- were handed back their marked "Finals" literary paragraphs
- were given general feedback (took notes) on the paragraphs
- went over the Story Unit Test
- were given background info. on Khaled Hosseini, author of The Kite Runner, and Afghanistan
- brainstormed about Afghanistan in small groups
- wrote a personal response on two important themes in the novel (see below)
Homework:
Read chapters 4 & 5 in The Kite Runner. Also, the good draft of ONE of your flash fictions is due FRIDAY.
