Mentorship Meeting
For all members of the Mentorship group, there will be a meeting in Ms. Paas's room on THURSDAY at lunch to plan our next event.  Hope to see everyone there and feel free to bring a friend with you!

Claremont Reads
Congratulations to Charlotte Clark for answering October's question, "What was the best USSR book you've read in English class?"  Come to the Learning Commons to claim your prize!  For November:  What is your favourite magazine?  Enter the monthly draw in the Learning Commons.  It pays to read at Claremont because...Claremont Reads!  

Found – Two Cell Phones
Two cell phones were brought to the office on Friday.  If you are missing your phone, please come to the office to claim it.

ROMS Halloween "Thank You" Lunch
Everyone who was involved with the Royal Oak Family Fright Night are invited to an appreciation Pizza Lunch this FRIDAY in the theatre.  In addition to the lunch, there will also be an event debrief.

Calzones – in the Cafeteria on Friday
This FRIDAY, you can get a delicious Calzone for $5 at the cafeteria.  These delicious pizza-like treats (calzones are a folded over pizza) will be in high demand and will come in Meat Lovers, Pepperoni, Cheese, Vegetarian and Hawaiian.

ChatterHigh
High schools and middle schools across Canada are invited to participate in the National Post Secondary & Career Exploration AAAA Competition.  $25,000 in grand prizes to be won! The Competition is running until midnight  Dec 4th.  Get onto your ChatterHigh and start quizzing!  Earn points for yourself and for Claremont! Cool stuff to win!  Don't rush the answers!...standings are based on average points per student. Good luck and Go Spartans!

Basketball
Practices for those on the teams list(s) this week are:
Jr boys - WEDNESDAY at 5:30 or 7:00 pm
Sr boys - WEDNESDAY at 7:00 pm and FRIDAY after school
Girls - TONIGHT 6:30-8:00 pm and THURSDAY from 7-8:30 pm
Please check lists outside of PE office.  For those who's names are not on the list, there will be meetings on WEDNESDAY at lunch to determine numbers and/or interest for B teams at Jr girls and Jr boys.

CAREER CENTRE
First Aid Training
Just a few spaces left for the next session of ALERT First Aid training with CPR and AED, on THURSDAY, November 12th from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at the SHOAL Centre in Sidney. Cost is $50.00 payable in cash, cheque or credit card.  More information posted in the Career Centre.
