Report Cards
Report cards will be handed out in House Block this morning.

Parent-Teacher Conferences – Thursday Nov 26
For parents:  Booking for Parent-Teacher Conferences opens Saturday November 22 @ 8:00 a.m.  Please follow the link on the Claremont website to schedule an appointment to meet with your child's teacher.  The link activates at 8:00 a.m. Saturday.  Parent-Teacher Conferences take place on Thursday, November 26th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. 

London, England – Spring Break 2016
Tally Ho!  Last call for England!  The Claremont field trip to London at Spring Break is happening and it's not too late to join.  This amazing opportunity is open to Claremont students and parents and is going to be the learning and travelling experience of a lifetime!  Please see Mr. Plant or email him at cplant@sd63.bc.ca for details.  It's not too late to join, but it will be soon.

IPod Drive
Please don't forget to bring in any gently used IPods for Broadmead Lodge.  Key Club students will be in the lounge at lunch today to collect them.

International Peer Advisors Meeting - Monday
There will be an International Peer Advisors meeting on MONDAY at lunch in the Learning Commons. Please see Ms. Heppell if you can't make it!

STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Are You Smarter Than a Twelfth Grader?
On TUESDAY, November 20th at lunch, Student Government will be hosting 'Are you Smarter than a Twelfth Grader?'  This is a game show where contestants of different grades will be asked a series of questions and compete against grade twelves. The sign up sheet will be posted on the door of the theatre.

Friday Night Lights
On FRIDAY November 27th at 7:30pm, the Claremont CSI lacrosse team will be playing against Mercer Island, WA at UVic stadium field 2B. Tickets will be on sale Monday November 23rd to Friday November 27th for $2 or by donation at the gate.  All proceeds raised will go to support KidSport. Come support our lacrosse team, and enjoy music and food!

Camosun College Information Sessions
Thinking about a Career in Exercise or Sport? The Camosun Centre for Sport & Exercise Education (CSEE) offers free information sessions every third Thursday of the month - from 6:00-7:00 pm at the Interurban Campus, PISE building.  Next session is December 17th, 2015.  Come learn about Sport & Exercise Education Programs. 1. Calling all history buffs!  This is an exciting one-week Ottawa/Canadian experience from April 3-9, 2016. Here is an opportunity to participate in the commemoration ceremonies to mark the Battle of Vimy Ridge. You will lay a wreath on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, visit the Canadian War Museum, and so much more!
2. For all sports and fitness enthusiasts: This is an exciting one-week Ottawa experience from  Jan 31 - Feb 6, 2016. You will participate in challenging sports activities, such as wall-climbing, alpine skiing, snowboarding, skating along the Rideau Canal, and even participate in a military-style boot camp!  Also you will watch NHL game between the Edmonton Oilers and the Ottawa Senators, and meet a top womens' hockey athlete: Danièle Sauvageau.

Holiday Employment Opportunity
Are you looking for work over Christmas?  COSTCO Wholesale in Langford is looking to hire responsible and mature students to work over the holidays!  $12 per hour, with shifts consisting of mainly stocking duties.  2-3 weeks at 32-40 hrs/week.  Orientation is Monday, Dec. 14th, 3-8 pm.  For application information please visit the Career Centre!

Volunteer Opportunities
Habitat for Humanity seeks volunteers for Canada's National Gingerbread Showcase at the Inn at Laurel Point, from now until January.
Gardens at the Horticulture Centre of the Pacific is looking for volunteers for the front office and gift shop.  Great customer service experience welcoming visitors, taking admission payments, processing sales and more!
YMCA-YWCA is looking for family playtime volunteers for drop-in child and youth programs.  Assist the instructors and engage children and youth in activities at the Downtown YMCA-YWCA, Saturdays or Sundays.

Aviation and Design Program
Have you considered a career in Aviation and Design?? This February, Mt Doug high school is hosting a semester long aviation and design program.  This program partners with Viking Air, Victoria Flying Club Pacific Sky & Camosun College and runs from February - June 2016.   The program is now open to SD 63 and the application deadline is December 5th. Winter Gala
Tickets for the Class of 2016 Winter Gala are on sale TODAY and MONDAY (deadline) only at lunch in the student lounge.  Tickets to the "Enchanted Forest" Dinner and Dance are $50.00 and this includes is a fully catered sit down dinner with dancing to follow.

Grad Portraits Proofs
Grads:  If you didn't pick up you grad portrait proofs on Tuesday, they can be picked up in the office. 

Grad Transitions
Grade 12's - please keep your Grad Transition forms coming in!!  Complete the forms, get your interview done and hand it all in to the Career Centre!  Grad Transition is a GRAD REQUIREMENT!
