- watched the end of Finding Forrester, and discussed how it connects to The Absolutely True Diary...
- were introduced to the Book Club Unit
- formed groups and chose books
- marked off 1/4 book, which is to be read by this Friday
- edited each other's essays, which are due tomorrow, using the essay editing checklist provided
- were reminded of what needs to be handed in tomorrow:
- title page (containing essay title in center, student name, class, and date in bottom left corner)
- typed, double spaced final draft
- edited rough draft
Homework:
Finish up your essay (unless you got an extension request sheet) and if you have any spare time, start reading your book club selection.
