Warm Clothing Collection
Due to popular demand, YCI has left the "Warm clothes for cold people" donation box in the front lobby near the theatre. The box will be there until the end of TODAY; please bring any gently used warm clothes for Victoria's street youth population.
Night of Dance
The Night of Dance performances will be TONIGHT and THURSDAY NIGHT starting at 7pm. Tickets will be sold at the ticket booth (in front of the theatre) during lunch today. $5 for Claremont students, $10 for all others.
Calzones Are Back – Fundraiser for the Stagecraft program
TODAY mouth-watering pizza Calzones are back. For $5 you get a calzone (a small pizza folded in half, filled with delicious toppings). They will be for sale outside the gym doors by the lounge. There are limited quantities so come early. Several types available (veggie, cheese, Hawaiian, pepperoni, meat-lovers).
Peer Tutoring
Just a reminder that Peer Tutors are available on TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS at lunch in the Learning Commons until exam week. They are happy to help you study!
Courage To Come Back Awards – Call for Nominations
Do you know someone who has inspired you with their story of overcoming adversity or illness and having gone on to help others? Recipients for the “Courage to Come Back Award” are selected in each of the following categories:
-Addiction -Medical
-Mental Health -Physical Rehabilitation
-Social Adversity -Youth

TODAY - our Jr Boys and Jr Girls B teams are hosting Reynolds at 4:15 and 5:45 - the boys will need to excused at 3:15.
THURSDAY - the Sr Girls head to the Top 10 tourney in Vancouver on the 11:00 ferry and will need to be excused at 9:45 and will miss the rest of Thursday and Friday classes. Our Jr Girls host Oak Bay at 4:15 that day as well.
FRIDAY - the Jr Boys and Jr Girls teams host travelling Rick Hansen (Abbottsford) for an ex game each. The Jr Boys play at 10:30 and will need to be excused from class at 9:50 and the Jr Girls play at 12:00 needing to be excused from blk 4. Our Sr Boys play at Spectrum at 7:30

Volunteer Opportunities
Sidney Family Days February 6, 7, 8: two volunteers needed each day - Community organizations and businesses are teaming up once again for a full three-day weekend of Sidney Family Day LEGO fun! LEGO displays, interactive building opportunities, a treasure hunt, and a professional LEGO builder are just some of the activities that weekend. Volunteers are needed at the visitor information table at the Sidney Pier Hotel, for morning or afternoon shifts, so choose a day and time and be part of the team handing out brochures and collecting door prize tickets! Canadian Naval Reserve "Open Ship"
Would you like to learn more about career opportunities with the Canadian Naval Reserve? HMCS Malahat is opening it's doors to the public between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m on SATURDAY, January 30th! Naval reservists typically serve part-time on evenings and weekends throughout the year, with opportunities to serve full-time in the Royal Canadian Navy ashore, at sea and abroad.
