GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
The Breakfast Club – New Ticket Program
The Breakfast Club is introducing tickets to our program.  They will be available for purchase in the mornings during breakfast or at the accounting office. Prices are 4 tickets for $1, or 20 tickets for $5.  Each ticket is worth $0.25 and can be used towards Breakfast Club purchases. They are easy to carry around in your pocket, purse or knapsack. Then you don’t have to search around at the bottom of your bag for a few quarters and you can share them with your friends!  To start this program off, we will be having a draw at the end of each week for the next 4 school weeks. Each bagel purchase gives you a chance to win $5 in tickets! The more you purchase, the better your chance to win! Good luck!

Also, to kick off second semester, on TUESDAY February 2nd we will be having a free bagel day!  Everyone who comes to see us can have one free bagel. Quantities are limited, so come early!

Music Program Bake Sale
$1 will pay for a delectable treat at the Music Program bake sale TODAY at lunch. Come find our table at the entrance to the lounge and pick up a few goodies!

Free Retail Training
This certificate program prepares you for first time work experiences in retail and many other work environments. You will be treated as an employee and you will be working alongside a busy team of staff members. You will have training in: working a cash register & counting cash, customer service, creating displays, sorting inventory, pricing, opening & closing procedures.  Visit the Career Centre for contact information.

Free Resume Writing Workshop
There will be a free resume writing workshop on FRIDAY February 12 (Pro-D Day)  9:00am – 4:00 pm at SHOAL Centre – 10030 Resthaven Drive, Sidney.  This workshop will accommodate those who have no resume and those who need to polish up their resume.   Visit the Career Centre for contact information!

Youth Job Fair
Looking for a summer job?  Exploring a career or post secondary education? Visit the Job Fair on FRIDAY February 19 (Pro-D Day) 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the SHOAL Centre, 10030 Resthaven Drive, in Sidney.  Many students were hired as a result of last year’s event, so bring your resumé.  You could be hired too!  Here is a taste of who is coming: BC Transit, Richard Mar Advanced School of Hairstyle and Esthetics, Tanner Books, Recreation Integration, Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre, BC Ferries, Q College, CDI College, Camosun College, Quadrant Marine Institute, Business Works Youth, Royal BC Museum, and the list is still growing…

Encounters Canada – Vimy Week
Calling all history buffs!  The Vimy week awaits you! Ottawa - April 3 to 9, 2016. Your Vimy week includes commemoration ceremonies to mark the Battle of Vimy Ridge. You will lay a wreath on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier; visit the Canadian War Museum and so much more. This week, sponsored by The Vimy Foundation, takes an indepth look at Canada’s participation in the First World War.  Register now and receive $100 off your registration fee, which includes airfare to Ottawa, food and accommodations.
