GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Blood Drive
“Young Blood For Life” Blood Drive will be in the Learning Commons on MONDAYFeb 29.  Sign up starts Wednesday - with Ms Chapman, rm 136, or in the Student Lounge at lunch time.  Must be at least 17yrs old. 

Bone Marrow Registry
“OneMatch” Registry for Bone Marrow Donation will be in the Learning Commons on Monday Feb 29 .  No appointment needed.  Must be at least 16yrs old.

Peer Tutoring
Peer Tutoring starts today in the Learning Commons. Peer Tutors are now available at lunch four days per week (MONDAYS to THURSDAYS) to help in the academic and language areas. Please check into the Peer Tutor area near the start of lunch.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT
The Dating Game - TODAY
Student Government will be hosting "The Dating Game" TODAY at lunch in the theatre, with Aidan Faminoff as your bachelor and Katie Bowers as your bachelorette! Come down and check it out!

Valentine Flower-Grams
Valentine's Day is coming up this weekend, so let that special someone know you care by sending them a "flower-gram"! Flowers cost $1.00 each and can be ordered TODAY and TOMORROW at lunch. Cupid will be delivering the flowers to your Valentine during block 4 on Thursday.

CAREER CENTRE
Music Technologies & Music Performance Programs
Victoria Conservatory of Music with Camosun College offers music career training with an online certificate program in Music Technologies and a full-time Post-Secondary Diploma in Music Performance program.  Take your career in your own hands, work at what you love to do!  Information brochures are available in the Career Centre.

Visual College of Art and Design
Visual College of Art and Design of Vancouver is offering up to $150,000 in scholarships to the high school class of 2016!! All entries must be received by May 19, 2016.  VCAD offers programs in Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Game Development/Mobile Game Design, 3D Modeling Animation Art, Marketing and Merchandising for Fashion.  VCAD scholarship  application forms are available in the Career Centre.

YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange Program
The YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange is a national program offering opportunities for youth to improve their second official language skills, while gaining important employment experience!  Open to students aged 16-17 with basic ability in either French or ESL.  The 6-week cultural immersion exchange starts at the end of June.  You will be provided with a paid employment opportunity in your host community. **Note** this is a reciprocal exchange so your family will be required to also host a student. A nominal participation fee is required; all other costs and activities will be covered by the program.  Lots more information and brochures in the Career Centre!
