In association with Student Voice BC, Claremont Secondary School is pleased to invite students from the Southern Vancouver Island area to participate in the 2016 Regional Student Voice Conference. This day-long community forum will provide high school students with an opportunity to collaborate and address issues related to education in the province.

Student Voice is seeking students in grades 9-12 from the  Southern Vancouver Island region who are keen to collaborate with  youth on issues related to education in the province.  The conference is looking for a diverse group of students who will have unique perspectives to share on the current state of education in British Columbia.

It is not an expectation that participants must be high academic achievers or leaders in their school.  This is a chance for youth who may not otherwise have the opportunity, to affect meaningful change and have their voices heard.

Students will be hearing presentations on topics such as the Aboriginal Education Enhancement Agreement, alternative learning for students who have struggled in the public school system, improvement of education in Financial Literacy and Planning 10.  Students will explore these topics further through interactive discussion and reflection.
