GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Breakfast Club
The Breakfast Club is hoping to start up soon again, selling affordable bagels, spreads and hot beverages on Tuesday and Thursday mornings before block 1. For the program to happen, they need parent volunteers, and a few student volunteers. If you can help, please email Gillian England: gmengland@shaw.ca.

CLUB OPPORTUNITIES
Claremont Improv Club
Are you interested in trying improvised theatre for the first time or honing your mad performance skills? Come check out the Claremont Improv Club. Our first official meeting will be this FRIDAY Oct 14th at lunch in room 201. After that, we will practice each MONDAY from 3:30-5:00 in the choir room, starting Monday Oct 17th. See Ms Cameron in room 201 for more information.

ATHLETICS
Basketball Tryouts and Open Gyms
Senior girls : open gym for all Sr girls this week is THURSDAY from 5:30-7:00 in the small gym. There will be open gym for all girls next week and tryouts for Jr. and Sr teams soon after.
Junior Boys: tryouts begin this week on THURSDAY from 7:15-9:00
Senior Boys: tryouts are TODAY from 7:15-9:00.
Both Jr and Sr Boys will also have their second tryout on SUNDAY.
It is very important to attend these tryouts and open gyms if you want to be selected for these teams. Please communicate with the coaches or Mr. Reisig if there is a conflict Assuming numbers permit, there may be 'B' or possibly gr 9 teams at the Jr level.

Job Opportunity
The Beach House Restaurant is looking for a weekend counter service person for their Café. Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. Please see Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre for more information.
Volunteer Opportunities – Halloween Fun
There are three Halloween fun events looking for student volunteers to help with set-up, running games distributing food, face-painting, haunted walk tours and more:
Lochside Elementary's Halloween Party is on Thursday, October 20th from 4-8 pm.
Royal Oak Middle School's Screamfest is happening Thursday and Friday, October 27-28, from 6-9 pm.
Cordova Bay Elementary School's Halloween Hoot and Howl fun night is on Friday, October 28th, from 6:00-9:00 pm.
