Work Experience 12A & 12B Registration Deadline
Reminder that the Work Experience 12A & 12B registration deadline is September 30th! Employed students wishing to achieve work experience credits for this year must be registered by this date. Please see Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre to register!
Global Cafe
The Global Cafe is running every morning until 9:00 in the IGS room 264. $2/coffee, includes milk/sugar. This is a fund-raiser for the IGS program.
Student Parking
Reminder to all students who are driving cars to school: all cars must be registered if you are parking in the student parking lot. Please come to the office to pick up your registration form. Students are NOT permitted to park in the staff parking lot at any time.

Science and Engineering Club
The Science and Engineering Club will be having its first meeting TODAY at lunch in room 220. Any and all students are welcome.
ATHLETICS
Sr Boys Soccer
The final tryouts for the Senior Boys Soccer team is TODAY after school at the Lochside turf. Please see Ms Yager with any questions.
Curling Team
For any students interested in being on the Curling Team this year: there will be a meeting tomorrow (WEDNESDAY) at lunch in Room 312. All grades welcome. No curling experience is necessary. See Mr. Freeburn or Mr. Hayes for more information.

Volunteer Opportunities
The Vancouver Island Model Engineers at the Saanich Historical Society is looking for volunteers to help with the preparation of their Halloween-themed decor for their Family Friendly Halloween Event - The Pumpkin Express!! Students are needed for painting Halloween items, decorating the forest areas the train runs though, and volunteering during the event with supervision of craft tables, train track crossings, pumpkin carvings, haunted story walks, face painting and much more! Visit the Career Centre for more information.

Organizer needed: A senior citizen at the Shoal Centre in Sidney needs help unpacking and organizing items. 2 hours @ $12.00/hour. If you like organizing, then consider helping out this senior in need.
Yard Work: Help is needed to turn over compost, rake and do general cleanup of a well-maintained yard. 2 hours @ $13.00/hour.

Peninsula Youth Health Clinic
The Peninsula Youth Health Clinic, is located at the Ocean Pier Medical Clinic, (#207-2537 Beacon Avenue in Sidney) every THURSDAY 6-8pm. This clinic offers completely free and confidential service in the areas of physical, sexual, and mental health for youth. Walk-ins are welcome. This Youth Clinic offers a judgement-free zone for all youth and is an LGBTQ safe space. For more information, call or text 250-216-8389.
