GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Work Experience 12A & 12B Registration Deadline

Reminder that the Work Experience 12A & 12B registration deadline is September 30th! Employed students wishing to achieve work experience credits for this year must be registered by this date.  Please see Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre to register!

Global Cafe
The Global Cafe is running every morning until 9:00 in the IGS room 264.  $2/coffee, includes milk/sugar.  This is a fund-raiser for the IGS program.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT

CLUBS
A preliminary list of Claremont Clubs is posted in front of the Learning Commons.  Please take a look to discover many ways you can become involved at our school.  Stay tuned for details about an upcoming Clubs Showcase!

ATHLETICS
Curling Team

For any students interested in being on the Curling Team this year: there will be a meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 312. All grades welcome. No curling experience is necessary.  See Mr. Freeburn or Mr. Hayes for more information.

Field Hockey
There is an important Field Hockey practice TODAY after school.  Please get changed quickly so we can get started by 3:05.  Even if you cannot stay for practice, pop by the P.E. office after school to get your forms.

CAREER CENTRE
Training Opportunities

Please come to the Career Centre for more information about these training sessions at Beacon Community Services.
1:  Food Safe Level 1,  Friday, Oct. 20th Pro-D Day - 8:30- 4:30 pm. ($50). 
2:  Basics of Banking & Finance, Oct. 28th (FREE).
3:  First Aid With CPR & AED, Nov. 24th ($50).

Camp Qwanoes
Deadline to get your  Camp Qwanoes forms and payment to Brenda is TOMORROW (Thursday).

COMMUNITY NEWS
Peninsula Youth Health Clinic

The Peninsula Youth Health Clinic, is located at the Ocean Pier Medical Clinic, (#207-2537 Beacon Avenue in Sidney) every THURSDAY 6-8pm.  This clinic offers completely free and confidential service in the areas of physical, sexual, and mental health for youth.  Walk-ins are welcome. This Youth Clinic offers a judgement-free zone for all youth and is an LGBTQ safe space.  For more information, call or text 250-216-8389.
