Jr Boys Volleyball
For all Jr Boys Volleyball players: there is a mandatory meeting TODAY at the start of lunch in room 300.
Jr Girls Volleyball
For all members of the Jr. Girls Red & Blue Volleyball teams: there is a brief but important meeting TODAY at the beginning of lunch in the small gym with Mr. Ryan.
Sr. Boys Volleyball
The Sr. Boys "AAA" Volleyball Island Championships are this FRIDAY and SATURDAY at Claremont. We would like to invite classes down to support and cheer for your Spartans. On Friday, Claremont plays in the main gym at:
1:15pm vs Belmont
3:45pm vs Royal Bay
6:15pm vs Dover Bay.
The action continues on Saturday at 10am with the gold medal match at 4:30pm. We are looking for scorekeepers and people to line each game in both gyms during Friday and Saturday. If you are interested in helping out, please see Mr. Ryan in the PE office asap. Thanks!

A retiree living in North Saanich is looking for weekend help with outdoor garden work: resetting patio paving stones, spreading bark mulch & general garden maintenance. 6 to 8 hours daily Saturdays and Sundays for 1-3 months or until the job is complete @ 15.00 to $20.00 an hour. Some heavy lifting required. Help with transportation available if required.
Long-term, Saturday outdoor/gardening job opportunity. Strong student needed for help with general garden maintenance: some shovelling, wheel-barrowing, weeding, raking etc. 3-4 hours each time @ $13 per hour. Located north end of Elk Lake.
Encounters With Canada: Deadline is Tomorrow
Encounters With Canada is offering an amazing opportunity for it's upcoming Sports & Fitness week - Nov. 18-24. Remaining seats are being offered on a first come first served basis; there is a rebate of $75 off the regular cost of the trip to Ottawa. Travel to and from Ottawa is paid for! Your adventure may include wall climbing, martial arts, Kin-Ball, Ultimate Frisbee, fitness boot camp and more! Participate in a guided tour of the city and a visit to Parliament. PSIBC Event – TOMORROW
The Post Secondary Institutions of BC event is happening at Stelly's Secondary School TOMORROW (Thursday) from 6:00-8:00 pm. Students and parents are invited to come meet Post Secondary Institution representatives from all over BC in one place: UNBC, JIBC, FDU, BCIT, SFU, TWU, TRU, Camosun, Quest, CapU, UVic, VIU, CAF-RMC and more! Parents As Career Coaches - TOMORROW
COPACS and the Saanich School District proudly invite you to attend a free seminar for parents: TOMORROW (Thursday) @ 6:30 pm at Stelly's Secondary School. Capilano University instructor, Marion Haythorne, will be leading the workshop helping parents learn how to help their children make sound educational decisions and career choices.

Any students interested in the dual credit Cosmo/Hairdressing Program, offered by SD#63 in partnership with Vancouver Island University, please see Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre to sign up for the Feb. 2019 start!
Soldier For A Day- Work/Study Program
The BC Army Reserve is hosting a Soldier for a Day program on SATURDAY, November 17th. This program is an introduction to the role of the BC Army Reserve both here in your home community, across Canada and even around the world. It’s also worth 6 1/2 hours of work experience. Don’t wait too long to sign up, as spaces are filling up fast!
For students in grades 10 to 12: the BC Army Reserve is also hosting a full time SUMMER employment program; this includes leadership training, paid community service, plus up to $8000 of educational reimbursement funding. See Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre for more information on both of these opportunities.
GRAD 2019
Winter Gala Tickets
Winter Gala tickets are for sale this week in the Accounting office. Each $50 ticket includes a formal dinner, dessert and DJ dance. Cash, cheques, debit and credit cards are all accepted.
Grad Wear
This is the final week to order 2019 Grad Wear! Clothing order forms are available at the main office or the accounting office. Forms and payment are to be returned to the Accounting office – deadline is this Friday Nov. 16.
Grad Transition
Reminder to grads that GT is a graduation requirement. Pick up your forms from the Career Centre and interview with your favourite teacher!

The Peninsula Youth Clinic is located at Peninsula Medical, 2a-2379 Bevan Avenue, Sidney and is open every THURSDAY from 5:30 - 7:30pm with both a doctor and mental health clinician on hand.
