Congratulations to the Claremont Golf Team who won the "AAA" BC High School (22 team) Golf Championships in Squamish. The tournament started with a practice round on Monday, June 3 followed by two days of competitive team play. The tournament format allows five players to compete and the best four scores count each day for a two day total of eight scores.
After day one, the Spartans had a combined total of 306, two shots behind Vancouver College and St. George's who were tied with a score of 304. On day two, Claremont shot a four-player total of one over (72, 72, 72, 73 =289) and threw away a score of 75.
Grade 9, Willy Bishop, was the BC Individual bronze medalist with a two-day score of 144 (72/72).
