Anyone interested in being on the Jr Girls Soccer team: please come to a meeting TODAY at lunch in room 303.

Sr Girls Bball

The Sr Girls had their final on Saturday night at Belmont vs Royal Bay and, after a less than ideal start and being down 19 pts in the first quarter, they fought back and overcame Royal Bay, winning the Island Championship 71-64.  Congratulations to all girls. It’s Claremont’s first title at 1st girls since 2014, after 5 2nds and 3rds in between. Reese Manns and Kamryn Allen we’re named first team All Stars and Payton Henderson was the deserved defensive MVP of the tourney. Next step: BC Championships!

Jr Girls and Jr Boys Bball

After a tough loss to Belmont in the semi-finals, the Jr Girls battled back to beat Vanier by 25 to make it to the 3rd/4th game vs Port Alberni. This game was a seriously hard fought one by both teams; Claremont ended up winning 57-48, but Alberni battled to keep it within 2-4 points up until the fourth quarter. The desire to win from both teams was really awesome to watch.  Adia Pye was named first-team All Star and Olivia Boulding was named second-team All Star for the tournament. Both very well deserved!! Kate Brooks was MVP of our game against Alberni, after hitting 6 three's in the game! Our MVPs for our other three games included: Sierra Lise , Adia Pye, and Kat Kalabric. Go Spartans!

Both of our Jr Girls and Jr Boys teams played hard in their tournaments this past weekend, both winning Bronze, qualifying them to play in the upcoming BC Championships. Go Spartans!
