GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Remembrance Day: Lest We Forget

TODAY in Block 2, Claremont will be holding a virtual Remembrance Day Ceremony. We honour the service and sacrifice of the men and women who served our country, and those who continue to serve, in order to preserve our Canadian values and freedoms. Thank you to the men and women of our Canadian military: the soldiers, medics, equipment technicians, pilots, support staff and peacekeepers.

Poppies from the Royal Canadian Legion will be available, and donations will be collected in the block 2 classrooms; due to the challenges of wearing a poppy in PE classes, students in Block 2 PE classes are invited to come to the office at lunch time to pick up a poppy. Please wear a poppy proudly and consider making a donation to the Legion Poppy Fund. Poppy funds raised assist Veterans and their families with many necessary services and supports.
