The Board of Education for School District No. 63 (Saanich) invites you to a Community Budget Meeting on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 7:00pm at Bayside Middle School, 1101 Newton Place, Brentwood Bay. The Board of Education and the Saanich School District would be pleased to have you join us to participate in and contribute to the formation of our budget for 2024/25. Public participation in this process is important for the Board's adoption of a budget that reflects the values, beliefs and priorities of the community. The evening will include a presentation on the budget process, the history of funding and related budget implications, and on the current budgeting context. There will be time for questions and answers, and also an opportunity to provide your input through a table talk session with reporting out. As part of the consultation process, the Board is asking the community to complete an online survey which closes at the end of day on April 29, 2024. A background document (available here) has been prepared to inform completion of the survey by those unable to attend the Community Budget Meeting.
