Recently, 11 Claremont students spent 4 days at Camp Pringle for the 2013 Youth for Change and Inclusion Camp. The students worked with 73 other young people from a number of different schools. The camp is in its 10th year, and is organized by a combination of the Victoria Police Department and educators. The focus is on creating a better understanding of diversity, oppression, harassment and how our actions can affect or be affected by those issues. Our students showed maturity and a willingness to participate and learn. We have now created a group and will be developing projects and activities to promote inclusion and positive social change within the school and the community. New students and staff are more than welcome to join us.
