GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
12 Days of Christmas
TODAY is the last day of our 12 Days of Christmas Toys for Teens donation drive.  The final count of donations will take place this afternoon, but it is clear that the Spartan Nation has been overwhelmingly generous and caring for this event.  So, to all the Block 3 classes, bring those final donations to Mrs. Giordano TODAY so the final count can be made.  

Locker Wrapping
The Key Club will continue gift wrapping locker doors this week and TODAY is the last day for you to put in your order to have a locker wrapped  The cost is $2 per locker.  The Key Club will be collecting locker numbers and cash at lunch outside the gym TODAY!  Proceeds will go towards buying toys for teens.

Winter Concert
The Winter Concert is TONIGHT at 7pm in the Ridge Theatre.  There will be performances from the Choir, the Concert and Jazz bands, plus some small ensembles delighting you with their singing and Jazzy tunes. There will be lots of baked goods and warm drinks to enjoy.  Tickets are $10 and all proceeds go to help the Music students reach their goal of going to Disneyland.

Dance Party
There will be a lunch time Dance Party in the Dance Studio TODAY at lunch. Donations are being taken at the door. $2 minimum. All proceeds going towards Toys for Teens.

Business Dual Credit Courses
There will be an extremely urgent and important lunch hour meeting on THURSDAY Dec 12 in Room 234 (Mr. Bussoli's classroom) for all students currently enrolled or are interested in Business Dual Credit Courses through Camosun in Semester 2:  those courses are Business 140, Accounting 110 and Marketing 110 . Bring a pen as we will be completing the application process for these courses.  Bring your lunch and arrive promptly.

Computer Repair and Maintenance course
Are you interested in computers?  We are offering a dual credit course at Claremont that will get you secondary school credits as well as Camosun Credits.  A Computer Repair and Maintenance course will be available starting in February.  Space is limited to 4 students! Talk to Mr. Beeston or attend a lunch time meeting in the North Computer Lab  at 11:45 (lunch time) this FRIDAY!

Service Canada - Canada Summer Jobs Opportunity
Any students 15 yrs and older who will be looking for Summer employment next year may be eligible to apply for the Canada Summer Jobs opportunity which will set you up in a work placement. Applications open December 2nd and will be accepted until January 31st.  See Mrs. Pryer in the Career Centre or go to www.servicecanada.gc.ca for more details.
