GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Change in Bell Schedule
This is a reminder for all students.  Due to the teachers' job action, there will be changes to our class schedules on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays: lunch will be shortened by 15 minutes, school will end 15 minutes earlier, and busses will arrive 15 minutes earlier on those days. The earlier busses will start this week on WEDNESDAY April 30th and the shortened lunch breaks will start on THURSDAY May 1st.  A copy of the new bell schedule is posted outside of the office and on the Claremont website.

Blood Drive
There are still a few spots available for the May Blood Drive.  Sign up at lunch in the student lounge or with Ms Chapman in room 136.  If you have already signed up, please return your consent forms ASAP.

Food Drive
The Block 1 Food Drive competition continues TODAY!  Non-perishable items only for the Mustard Seed, which helps hundreds of families in Victoria.  Let's go Spartans!!

ChatterHigh Competition
The ChatterHigh Competition is still on and we are currently in the lead for first place!! But Esquimalt High is catching up quickly with Parkland right behind them in third.  Let's finish strong and make sure we win this Claremont!  Go to www.chatterhigh.com daily!

STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Spartan Day
Spartan Day is this FRIDAY to celebrate the re-launch of the HOUSE SYSTEM. Hopefully you heard about the Houses in your homeroom last week. This Friday, wear your House Colours and be ready to show some school spirit in our school-wide spirit video. Zeus is white, Hercules is red, Apollo is black, and Poseidon is blue.

ATHLETICS
Intramural Speedball
Intramural Speedball will be starting next week. There will be junior and senior divisions. The sign up sheet is posted on the big gym doors. Sign your team up TODAY to ensure a spot.

CAREER CENTRE
Dockyard Summer Job Applications
Any students interested in working in the trades at the Dockyard this Summer must get their applications in no later than this WEDNESDAY April 30th!  See Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre for more information.

GRADUATION 2014
Grad Introductions
Grads:  If you are looking for ideas for what to write for your introduction at the grad ceremony, there are now some samples in the office.  Drop by for a look.  Remember, you need to submit your introduction by the end of this FRIDAY May 2nd.
