GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
AP Chemistry
Would all AP Chemistry students please come to an important meeting TODAY at lunch in Mr. Ewan's class.

Change in Bell Schedule
This is a reminder for all students who ride the school bus.  Starting TODAY, all school busses will arrive 15 minutes earlier at the end of every school day.  And starting TOMORROW, lunch will be shortened by 15 minutes and school will end 15 minutes earlier on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays only.  A copy of the new bell schedule is posted outside of the office and on the Claremont website.

Blood Drive
There are still a few spots available for the May Blood Drive.  Sign up at lunch in the student lounge or with Ms Chapman in room 136.  If you have already signed up, please return your consent forms ASAP.

Food Drive
The Block 1 Food Drive competition continues all week!  Non-perishable items only for the Mustard Seed, which helps hundreds of families in Victoria.  Let's go Spartans!!

TC 10k
Congratulations to everyone who particpated in the TC 10K on Sunday!  Claremont had a team of 20 staff and students run/walk and many finished with or close to personal bests.  We finished 2nd overall amongst all schools competing.  Way to go Spartans!

cc350
The big cc350 event is next FRIDAY, May 9th. Students interested in submitting teams for the cc350 bike relay should see Mr. Neufeld or Mr. Mitchell in room 264. Teams must have registered by Monday, May 5th.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Spartan Day
Spartan Day is this FRIDAY to celebrate the re-launch of the HOUSE SYSTEM. Hopefully you heard about the Houses in your homeroom last week. This Friday, wear your House Colours and be ready to show some school spirit in our school-wide spirit video. Zeus is white, Hercules is red, Apollo is black, and Poseidon is blue.

ATHLETICS
Intramural Speedball
Intramural Speedball will be starting next week. There will be junior and senior divisions. The sign up sheet is posted on the big gym doors. Sign your team up TODAY to ensure a spot.

CAREER CENTRE
Dockyard Summer Job Applications
Any students interested in working in the trades at the Dockyard this Summer must get their applications in no later than TODAY!  See Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre for more information.

GRADUATION 2014
Grad Introductions
Grads:  If you are looking for ideas for what to write for your introduction at the grad ceremony, there are now some samples in the office.  Drop by for a look.  Remember, you need to submit your introduction by the end of this FRIDAY May 2nd.

INTERNATIONAL
Tofino Trip
There will be an important meeting this FRIDAY at the start of lunch in the ESL room for all international students attending next week's Tofino trip.  Please see Ms. Giese or Brenda if you are unable to attend.
