GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Take Our Kids To Work Day
This is a reminder to all grade 9 students interested in participating in the Take Our Kids to Work Day on November 5th, to return their consent forms by TOMORROW, Friday Oct 31st, to the Career Centre.

Unicef Boxes & Food Drive
Help children all over the world! Please donate spare change from now until Halloween into the UNICEF boxes found in all classrooms. Every little bit can add up!

The Free the Children group is also helping to take on this issue of hunger in our communities by holding an IN CLASS Block 2 can drive. This can drive will be a competition between all classes to see which class can donate the most cans. The prize is a pizza lunch and all the donated cans will go to the local food bank.

Bake Sale
The IGS students will be selling baked treats TODAY at lunch in the lounge to raise funds for their train trip to Ottawa.  Feed your sweet tooth and support a good cause.

Club Happiness
There is a meeting for Club Happiness on FRIDAY at lunch in the art room.

Blackout Dance
Last chance!  Tickets for TONIGHT's “Blackout Dance” are on sale TODAY at lunch outside the theatre for only $5.  Wear all black and come ready to bust a move.

5 on 5 Soccer Extravaganza
The IGS class will be hosting a 5 on 5 soccer tourney TODAY after school to raise funds for their trip to Ottawa.  Forget the World Cup – this is the Spartan Cup. There will be food, face painting, awesome music, great prizes, and hopefully lots of rain and mud. Come out and watch the action!!

Food Services
TODAY at lunch: the “Pig-Mobile” will be here.  They are serving pulled pork sandwiches for $7.50, cookies, and drinks.  They will be parked outside of the lounge and there will be no regular cafeteria service.

Halloween Week
For Halloween fun, Student Government is hosting a Mummy Wrap in the lounge TODAY at lunch.  Come join in or just come to watch.  And remember to wear a costume TOMORROW.

CAREER CENTRE
Camosun's Exploration in Technology Course
Are you interested in learning more about Computer Science, Electronic & Computer Engineering Technology, or Civil & Mechanical Engineering Technology?  Then you may want to consider taking TEAC 105 Explorations in Technology through Camosun. This is an afternoon/evening course starting in February and tuition is PAID for by the School District! See Mr. Arsenault for more information.
