IGS "Do Good” Project
Have you ever heard of Vanuatu? A group of IGS 11 students are fundraising to give the gift of education to one lucky boy in this small island nation as part of their "Do Good" project. If you would like to contribute, please bring a loonie or twoonie down to Room 264 before school or at lunch all THIS WEEK. There will also be a bake sale on THURSDAY in the student lounge and all proceeds will go towards raising the $500.00 needed to pay his tuition.
Starbucks
Starbucks coffee is coming to Claremont this week!! TODAY at lunch, and WEDNESDAY starting at 8:15 in the morning, you can buy: lattes, mochas, coffee, hot chocolate, and freshly baked cookies by the cafeteria. Drinks come complete with toppings. Entry for a prize comes with each purchase. Proceeds go to a charitable sports scholarship for a student in Saanich.
Book Drive
Claremont's book drive continues all THIS WEEK. Donate any of your unwanted books to your 4th block class, up until Friday. All donations go to a great cause. Let's give everyone a chance to read!
Math Club
Reminder to Math Club members: there is a Math Club meeting TODAY at lunch. Important information will be given about the upcoming AMC exam, so all members who are writing this exam are encouraged to attend.
Mandatory meeting for AP Chem, AP Physics, AP Bio, Psych 130 and Crim 154 students
For all AP Chem, AP Physics and AP Bio students: there will be a mandatory meeting TODAY at lunch in the computer labs.
For all Psych 130, Crim 154 and Business students: there will be a mandatory meeting on WEDNESDAY January 21st at lunch in the computer labs.

Night of Dance
The Night of Dance shows are TONIGHT and WEDNESDAY night at 7:00 pm. Get your tickets outside the theatre TODAY at lunch. Tickets are only $5 for Claremont students.
Peer Tutoring
If you would like a Peer Tutor, please fill out an application located in the counselling office with Ms. Giese. Math and Science Peer Tutors are available TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS at lunch in room 134.

ATHLETICS
Girls Rugby
There will be a Girls Rugby open session TODAY @ 3:45. Meet on the main field. Everyone welcome; no experience necessary. Bring cleats (runners work), gym cloths and water! It will be fun!
Basketball Spirit Game
Hey Claremont: the Athletic Leadership class is organizing a "Spirit Game" next week on TUESDAY January 27th in support of the senior boys and girls basketball teams. The girls are playing Reynolds at 5:45pm and the boys are playing SMUS at 7:30pm. Tickets will be sold in the lounge this week. Come out and support your school teams by wearing red and cheering as loud as possible! There will be prizes and halftime competitions. Go Spartans!
