GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Job Opportunity
Any students interested in working at a local Golf Course should see Mr. Arsenault in the Career Centre as soon as possible for more information about a great job opportunity!

IGS "Do Good” Project
Have you ever heard of Vanuatu? A group of IGS 11 students are fundraising to give the gift of education to one lucky boy in this small island nation as part of their "Do Good" project. If you would like to contribute, please bring a loonie or twoonie down to Room 264 before school or at lunch all THIS WEEK. There will also be a bake sale on THURSDAY in the student lounge and all proceeds will go towards raising the $500.00 needed to pay his tuition.

Book Drive
Claremont's book drive continues all THIS WEEK.  Donate any of your unwanted books to your 4th block class, up until Friday.  All donations go to a great cause. Let's give everyone a chance to read!

Mandatory meeting for Dual Credit students
There will be a mandatory meeting for all students taking Psych 130, Crim 154, Electronics 138 and all dual credit Business classes TODAY at lunch in the computer labs. If you missed yesterday's AP Sciences and Electronics 138 meeting, please attend today's meeting!  And please bring a pen with you!

Peer Tutoring
If you would like a Peer Tutor, please fill out an application located in the counselling office with Ms. Giese. Math and Science Peer Tutors are available TUESDAYS and WEDNESDAYS at lunch in room 134.

Food Services on Thursday
Mrs. Parks' morning foods classes will be serving the following food menu TOMORROW at lunch:  ham & cheddar wraps, tortellini soup, mac & cheese, chicken strips & fries, grilled cheese, cookies & muffins.  All freshly made on Thursday!!

STUDENT GOVERNMENT
House Day
This THURSDAY is House Day! Wear your House colours to school and check out the Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament in the lounge at lunch. Which House will dominate on Thursday?

ATHLETICS
Basketball Spirit Game
The Athletic Leadership class is organizing a "Spirit Game" next week on TUESDAY January 27th in support of the senior boys and girls basketball teams.  The girls are playing Reynolds at 5:45pm and the boys are playing SMUS at 7:30pm.  Information about ticket sales will be announced soon. Come out and support your school teams by wearing red and cheering as loud as possible! There will be prizes and halftime competitions.  Go Spartans!

CAREER CENTRE
Incredible Opportunity for Grade 10 Students
The University of Waterloo is providing an incredible opportunity for Grade 10 students with exceptional potential.  From May 10th - 14th, students will participate in workshops, seminars, labs, lectures and social time with the faculty and students of the University of Waterloo. The theme for this event is CHANGE and how we adapt or don't and the consequences, from the perspective of scientists, philosophers, writers and engineers. The deadline to apply is March 10th.
