TODAY's EVENTS

It's a Halloween Game of 'Clue'
Learning Services ISTs present "Halloween Clue -- the Claremont Edition."  Pick up your witness form from any IST or the office.  Locate 4 different suspects in 4 designated Claremont Clue rooms.  Identify suspects, rooms and weapons on the sheet.  Return your witness sheet to room 216 for a Halloween treat (while supplies last).

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Free Hot Chocolate - Monday
Come by the lounge on MONDAY at lunch for FREE hot chocolate from the Key Club!  Please bring your own mug.

Best Buddies
Best Buddies has their regular meeting on MONDAY at lunch in room 234.  All are welcome.

OK Claremont, let's ramp up for the National Post Secondary & Career Exploration AAAA Competition!  High schools and middle schools across Canada are invited to participate in this one! $25,000 in grand prizes to be won! Woo-hoo!!. The Competition is running until midnight  Dec 4th.  Get onto your ChatterHigh and start quizzing!  Earn points for yourself and for Claremont! Cool stuff to win!  Don't rush the answers!...standings are based on average points per student. Good luck and Go Spartans!

Key Club - UNICEF
TODAY is the last day to please donate spare change into the UNICEF boxes found in all your teachers' classrooms. Every little bit can add up to a lot to help children all over the world. Thank you for your support.

CAREER CENTRE
Soldier for a Day
Application deadline for this program is TODAY.  Be a soldier for a day - Saturday, November 7th!  The Soldier for A Day work study program will show you how a soldier in the Army Reserve is trained and what they do when they are working for the Canadian Armed Forces. Students will be given the opportunity to see some of the vehicles and equipment used, some basic instruction in marching, and a closer look at the educational and job opportunities offered by some of the Vancouver Island Army Reserve units. Visit the Career Centre for more information!

University of Calgary Visit
Thinking of a change after grad? A representative from the University of Calgary will be visiting Claremont on MONDAY, Nov. 2 at lunch in the Student Lounge.  Come and see what the U of C has to offer you!

Volunteer Opportunities
The Victoria Festival Of Trees benefits BC Children's Hospital - join the volunteer team and get involved this holiday season - Set up takes place Tuesday Nov. 17th from 6-9 pm, at the Bay Centre.
The Saanich Youth Council would like youths that are looking for a meaningful avenue to get involved with civic life in Saanich!
Habitat For Humanity needs ambassadors to welcome visitors to the Gingerbread Showcase Room, November 21st, 2015, and January 3, 2016 at the Inn at Laurel Point.
