Do you know someone who has inspired you with their story of overcoming adversity or illness and having gone on to help others? Recipients for the “Courage to Come Back Award” are selected in each of the following categories:

Island Medical Program – Info Session
There will be an information session for high school students on Wednesday, February 17, 7-8:30 pm. Learn about UBC’s Doctor of Medicine (MD) Undergraduate Program delivered in collaboration with UVic. With a class size of 32 students, the Island Medical Program provides a truly unique environment for learning. UVic: Medical Sciences Building, Room 150.
Camosun College – Sports & Exercise Programs
The Centre for Sport & Exercise Education (CSEE) at Camosun College offers FREE monthly information sessions about their Sport & Exercise Education Programs. CSEE offers Diplomas in Sport Management and Exercise & Wellness, and Bachelor Degrees of Sport & Fitness Leadership, and Athletic & Exercise Therapy! Canadian Naval Reserve "Open Ship"
Would you like to learn more about career opportunities with the Canadian Naval Reserve? HMCS Malahat is opening it's doors to the public between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m on SATURDAY, January 30th! Naval reservists typically serve part-time on evenings and weekends throughout the year, with opportunities to serve full-time in the Royal Canadian Navy ashore, at sea and abroad.
The Naval Reserve offers the following benefits:

Volunteer Opportunities
Sidney Family Days February 6, 7, 8: two volunteers needed each day - Community organizations and businesses are teaming up once again for a full three-day weekend of Sidney Family Day LEGO fun! LEGO displays, interactive building opportunities, a treasure hunt, and a professional LEGO builder are just some of the activities that weekend. Volunteers are needed at the visitor information table at the Sidney Pier Hotel, for morning or afternoon shifts, so choose a day and time and be part of the team handing out brochures and collecting door prize tickets! Grad Transition
Don't put off completing your Grad Transition! Grad transition is a grad requirement! Log in your Work Experience/Volunteer hours, Daily Physical Activity, and Interview with a teacher/counsellor. Complete your GT while you still have your choice of who to do your Interview with. If you delay for too long, a more formal Interview will have to be scheduled for you!
