Best Buddies meets TODAY at lunch in room 234.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Sweets and Treats
On WEDNESDAY January 20th at lunch near the ticket booth, Sweets and Treats will be offering one-of-a-kind cinnamon buns and butter tarts.  100% of the proceeds are going to the SPCA.  One purchase could brighten an animal's day.

Arizona Iced Chari-TEA
Hey, are you thirsty for a change?  Come down to the big gym entrance, WEDNESDAY at lunch and get some Arizona Iced Tea for $1.00 a cup.  All proceeds are going to the Mustard Seed.

Europe Spring 2017 – Beaches and Battlefields Trip
There will be a parent information night for the 'Beaches and Battlefields' trip on THURSDAY, Jan 21st at 6pm.  Amsterdam, and France for the 100th anniversary of Vimy Ridge.  $100 discount for early bird sign up.  Contact Mr Gardner for more info: dgardner@sd63.bc.ca

Music Program Bake Sale
$1 will pay for a delectable treat at the Music Program bake sale on FRIDAY, Jan 22 at lunch. Come find our table at the entrance to the lounge and pick up a few goodies!

There are Peer Tutors available TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY at lunch in the Learning Commons to help you study for exams.
Can all Peer Tutors please meet Ms. Giese at the start of lunch this WEDNESDAY in the Learning Commons for an important meeting. See you there!

Badminton
For all students interested in trying out for the badminton team: there will be a meeting on WEDNESDAY at lunch in room 135.

CAREER CENTRE
Island Medical Program – Info Session
There will be an information session for high school students on Wednesday, February 17, 7-8:30 pm.  Learn about UBC’s Doctor of Medicine (MD) Undergraduate Program delivered in collaboration with UVic.  With a class size of 32 students, the Island Medical Program provides a truly unique environment for learning. UVic: Medical Sciences Building, Room 150.

Camosun College – Sports & Exercise Programs
The Centre for Sport & Exercise Education (CSEE) at Camosun College offers FREE monthly information sessions about their Sport & Exercise Education Programs.  CSEE offers Diplomas in Sport Management and Exercise & Wellness, and Bachelor Degrees of Sport & Fitness Leadership, and Athletic & Exercise Therapy!  The next free  information session THURSDAY, January 21st, at Camosun Interurban, PISE building, 6:00- 7:00 pm - More details in the Career Centre!

Canadian Naval Reserve "Open Ship"
Would you like to learn more about career opportunities with the Canadian Naval Reserve?  HMCS Malahat is opening it's doors to the public between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m on SATURDAY, January 30th!  Naval reservists typically serve part-time on evenings and weekends throughout the year, with opportunities to serve full-time in the Royal Canadian Navy ashore, at sea and abroad.
The Naval Reserve offers the following benefits:

GRAD 2016
Grad Transition
Don't put off completing your Grad Transition!  Grad transition is a grad requirement!   Log in your Work Experience/Volunteer hours, Daily Physical Activity, and Interview with a teacher/counsellor. Complete your GT while you still have your choice of who to do your Interview with. If you delay for too long, a more formal Interview will have to be scheduled for you!  Visit the Career Centre for more info!
