Toys for Teens
Thank you to the Spartan Nation for all of the Toys for Teens donations. Together, we raised over $6000 in donations. This will make the holidays happier and brighter for many teens in need. These gift cards go directly to teens at the youth shelter, youth housing, families who receive support through St. Vincent de Paul Society, CFAX Santa's Anonymous, and more. Today is a great day to be a Claremont Spartan!
The results of the Block 1 challenge are:

NEW Claremont Masks For Sale
If students like the look and fit of the navy blue cloth masks they were issued at the start of the year, we now have the very same masks (same quality & design, made by Stormtech) with the Claremont Spartan logo for sale. They come in either black or navy. 2 for $15 at the Accounting office. These are great for students and parents!
Morning Breaktime Food Service
Reminder that the Spartan Store is open for breakfast and snack service 10:00-11:00 every morning, with reasonably-priced hot drinks and morning treats. Cash or lunch cards only.
ATHLETICS
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Intramural Indoor Soccer (SENIOR Teams)
An important notice for all Senior Intramural participants - for all those Sr's that are supposed to be playing TOMORROW (Friday), there is a special activity happening for Grads at lunch on that day and, therefore, we are going to move those games to TODAY! Therefore, all Sr Intramurals participants who were scheduled to play tomorrow, please be ready to go TODAY at lunch in the Big Gym!!"
CLUBS
Robotics Club
Any grade 9 girls interested in joining the Robotics Club are asked to attend an information meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 133.
YCI: Candy Cane Grams
Candy Cane grams will be brought to you again this year by the Claremont YCI Club. Send your friend a candy cane and a note by scanning the QR code on the posters in the hallways and filling out the google form or coming to see us in the lounge at lunch time! The grams will be delivered next THURSDAY Dec 17.
YCI: Winter Clothing/Backpack Drive
YCI’s donation drive ‘Home is Where the Heart Is’ continues with collecting necessary items to support people in need, due to homelessness and crisis. For the Backpack Drive, we are collecting backpacks plus:
*warm clothing (toques, mitts/gloves, scarfs, socks)
*hygiene products (shampoo, soap, body wash, lip balm, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream, tissue packs, feminine hygiene products, small makeup items)
*non-perishable snacks (granola bars, trail mix, raisins, beef jerky, candy, gum).
All donations will be packed by members of the Home is Where the Heart is Foundation and, in working with Our Place Society, the items will be distributed to people in need. Donation bins are at the front office. Collection runs until December 18. We have received some very generous and thoughtful donations so far. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

Grade 12’s: Did you know that YOU can access your own transcripts from the Student Transcript Service website? You can view your transcript and/or send them to a Post-Secondary Institution of your choice, at any time. It is easy to make a BCeID account on the Student Transcript Service. Peninsula Youth Clinic
Peninsula Youth Clinic is operating through Telehealth on Thursday evenings 5:30 - 7:30pm Appointments with doctors or mental health workers are conducted by phone or video. Services are completely free and confidential in their judgement free zone for any medical concerns, to get prescriptions, or to speak with a counsellor. To make an appointment, call 250-656-4143.
Foundry Youth Clinic
Foundry Victoria Youth Clinic offers young people ages 12-24 health and wellness services, with doctors, mental health workers, and peer support workers. Foundry is open for virtual and on-site appointments. To make an appointment, call 250-383-3552. Phones are answered beginning at 10:30AM on weekdays to schedule appointments for the day.
