GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Muscial Events
Claremont music students have 2 special events happening this week:  
Come to the Claremont Winter Concert on WEDNESDAY at 7pm in the Ridge Theatre.  Come and listen to some music, eat some baked goods, and enjoy the sounds of Christmas with special guests from the Greater Victoria Concert Band.  
Or come to the Claremont Winter Cafe on THURSDAY at 7pm in the Learning Commons.
Come sit and enjoy the choir, jazz band and other solo musicians perform in a relaxed cafe setting.

Volunteer Hours
Do you need some volunteer hours and a chance to win a $50 gift card to Uptown?  Join our clubs at Uptown and come wrap Christmas presents!  See Mrs. Wadsworth in the Learning Commons for more information.  Only a few shifts are left!

Photo Retakes
Photo retakes and student cards have arrived.  They are in the office for you to pick up.

Food services this week include:

Tuesday: Sandwiches and baking from Stelly's Culinary Arts
Wednesday: Sandwiches and baking from Stelly's Culinary Arts
Thursday:  PIG Food Truck is back with a special: Pulled Pork Poutine     
Friday: Pizza

Locker Door Wrapping
The Key Club will be gift wrapping locker doors this week and next. Cost is $2 per locker. You can have your locker or your friend's locker gift wrapped! We'll be collecting locker numbers and cash at lunch outside the gym starting WEDNESDAY.  Proceeds will go towards World Vision.

Toys 4 Teens
Toys 4 Teens continues until December 9th. Whose block 3 class will take the lead?  Our goal is to collect 1200 gift cards to support teens in our community who unfortunately live in poverty.  You know what teens like: coffee shops, music, books, movies, electronics, bling, sporting goods, clothing, bus passes.... and the list goes on!  

Passport to Educaton
Lists of Passport to Education Recipients for 2013-2014 have been posted to the school website as well as in the Office, Learning Commons and Counselling area. Students can check the lists to see if they received one for last year. You have until December 12th to appeal if your name isn't on the list and you think you should have received one.  Passports are held by the school and given to students after they graduate.

ATHLETICS
Intramural Dodgeball
Intramural Dodgeball will begin TOMORROW at lunch in the big gym. Spectators welcome! There will be a Captains Meeting TODAY at lunch in the Big Gym. At least one representative from each team must attend or the team will be withdrawn from the tournament.

CAREER CENTRE
Post Secondary & Unique Opportunities Information Night
Claremont is hosting a Post Secondary & Unique Opportunities Information Night on WEDNESDAY December 3rd from 7 - 9pm. There will be presentations from UVic, Camosun and VIU in the Learning Commons, as well as a mini fair in the student lounge with over 15 representatives from private colleges and other unique opportunities. This is an event you don't want to miss and is open to all students and parents!
